Learning Lab

 

Learning Lab helps prepare non-profit agencies to leverage the talents, experience, and wisdom of older volunteers who are 50+.

Designed for volunteer managers, human resource staff, executive directors, board members and other nonprofit leaders, Learning Lab is professional training program that provides nonprofit leaders with the skills, tools, and knowledge to understand generational differences, design meaningful volunteer opportunities, and successfully recruit and retain adult volunteers who are age 50+. Led by a professional facilitator, Learning Lab brings to life the highly acclaimed curriculum and materials designed and updated by the Intergenerational Center of Temple University.

Class size is limited to 25 participants.  Sessions are held in 2 sessions.  Scholarships are currently available on a first-come, first served basis for nonprofit leaders of programs that serve Clay County.

  • Community volunteer opportunities are listed for a diverse array of positions that exist with our nonprofit partners who have completed learning lab trainings
  • Volunteer Roles are available with this program to support events hosted by Shepherd’s Center Central
