At Shepherd’s Center Central, our long-term goal is to make Kansas City the best place in the country to age.  Our caring staff and our passionate volunteers work together to meet that goal daily by actively doing the following:

  • Promote activities that empower mid-life and older adults to become engaged in the community
  • Provide services and needed resources to sustain independence for older adults
  • Advocate respect for individual autonomy as adults age
  • Provide educational opportunities to increase the ability of people of all ages to meet the challenges and opportunities of later life
  • Ensure that older adults have meaningful opportunities to share their knowledge and skills with all generations
