THE 50 FORWARD CLUB® is exclusively for people age 50+ and offers a wide range of exciting benefits and inspiring opportunities. Become a member today and enhance and enrich your life!

On April 1, 2016, the Brown & Gold Club was renamed THE 50 FORWARD CLUB®.  The new name is a more fitting representation of who we are today as midlife and older adults.  Originally the name of the Brown and Gold Club was derived from Johnson County Community College school colors.  With the management of the club transferred, by the college, to Shepherd’s Center Central, and the school colors no longer brown and gold, the old name no longer resonated with new and prospective members.

In early 2014, Shepherd’s Center Central assumed the overall administration and management of the club.  Coincidentally, THE 50 FORWARD CLUB® was being formed at about the same time as a Metro-wide organization for people 50+ and would be open to members regardless of residence location.

The most important things will never change!

Our commitment to you and our sponsorship of lifelong learning opportunities, fun activities and new friendships remains the same.  Speed Dating and Meet-up events are being added to the many offerings available through the club.

We are excited about the huge potential for midlife and older adults to become even more active and engaged in things that are of interest, including volunteering by signing up to be part of our Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

Annual membership fee $20 per person per year.  With your help THE 50 FORWARD®CLUB will be better than ever.
